Our vision

Our vision is ‘Access to Excellence’ — a commitment that runs across Practice Plus Group and takes on particular meaning in the context of the justice system.

For the people in our care — often among the most vulnerable in society, with complex health needs and limited previous access to healthcare — excellence is not a luxury. It is a right. Our vision is:

‘To provide high quality, clinically effective and efficient healthcare which empowers people from marginalised groups to take their health seriously; improving their health outcomes and reducing health inequalities.’

Our mission

We exist to operate as a strategic health partner, improving health and reducing inequalities for marginalised groups, particularly people in contact with the criminal justice and immigration systems.

We do this by doing the right thing by the individual in front of us: providing seamless, integrated care throughout the justice pathway, proactively identifying and supporting the most underserved, and designing accessible, equitable care pathways that reflect the diverse communities we serve.

Our values — how we work every day

Our values are not aspirational statements — they describe how our teams behave with every patient, colleague and partner, every day.

These values shape everything: the way we recruit and develop our people, the way we design our services, and the way we measure success. They connect directly to our commitment to being compassionate, conscience-driven, fair, person-focused, reliable, proactive and responsive – and to delivering healthcare that genuinely improves lives.

Embracing equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI)

We are committed to delivering healthcare that recognises, respects and responds to the diversity of the people we serve. Overseen by our Head of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, our EDI programme raises awareness, drives change and provides educational resources and a forum for discussion across the organisation.

We have embedded EDI across Practice Plus Group’s workforce and have a range of employee resource groups (ERGs) driving real change. Our commitments include:

Our goal is to build an inclusive, equitable and supportive environment that reflects the diverse communities we serve, so that every colleague can thrive and every patient receives person-centred care.

Our social value commitment

Our commitment to social value runs through everything we do. Our social value statement sets out our approach across four key themes:
